IntroductionRentr ("REntr", "we", "our" or "us") expects all of its personnel, including those of its worldwide subsidiaries, and any third parties with whom it conducts business, to uphold the highest ethical standards and abide by all applicable laws and regulations. Accordingly, Rentr is dedicated to upholding the strictest privacy and data protection compliance requirements, and it requires all of its staff members and management to do the same.The Data Privacy Act ("DPA") of the Philippines and the rules issued thereunder (as may be amended from time to time) are binding on Rentr. Gathering and Utilizing Your Personal InformationRentr lists the reasons for processing personal data ("Purpose").In order to fulfill our mission, we gather personal information from persons or entities who post properties they rented and/or review on our Platform to deliver our services. In general, we obtain information about you or your business from trusted third parties (like banks or credit bureaus and other websites necessary to determine property locations and availability) and passively through technology like "cookies" (the collection of cookies is described below in the section titled "Cookies and Web Server Logs.") (Information Sources). We also obtain information about you or your business when you voluntarily provide it. How you use or interact with the Platform will affect the types of Personal Data we collect and how we use that Personal Data.You represent, warrant, and acknowledge that you have given your consent for us to collect and process your personal information through the Information Sources when you use our Platform and the services available there, when accessing our website and joining our waitlist when you access our website and interact with our provide us other information about you, or when contacting our customer support team.

Creating an accountYou must register and set up an account in order to use our Platform and avail of our Services in their entirety. We gather the personal information you supply when you sign up for an account, including but not limited to the following:• To create your account, you will need to provide your name, location, email address, phone number, and account password.• Your date of birth.• The IP addresses, computers, and places you used to visit the Platform; these will be associated with your account for the purpose of detecting and preventing fraud.• Your location, previous location, name of the landlord, address of the property you previously leased, and any other information related to the preceding.Your ability to utilize our Platform and Services may be restricted if you choose not to provide Personal Data in the requested fields. Users of the PlatformYou are not obliged to submit any Personal Data just to access our Platform. However, we may gather non-personally identifiable information, as described directly above, solely for the purposes of monitoring and improving our Platform and Services. We won't divulge this information to outside parties or use it to send you personalized ads.The general public is the target audience for our Platform and Services. We may disclose Personal Data we collect about you to trusted third parties who are integral to the operation of our Platform and Services for a variety of purposes necessary and related to providing our Services, operating our Platform, and, where you have consented, special offers to you. These third parties may include agents, related corporate bodies, contractors, financial institutions, payment processors, verification services, credit bureaus, and any third parties that you have directly authorized to receive your Personal Data.We may store your Personal Data in our Application or locations outside our direct control, for instance, on servers or databases with hosting providers. Some of our related bodies, corporate or third parties to whom we disclose your Personal Data, are located outside of the Philippines.We may also disclose your Personal Data to law enforcement, government officials, or other third parties as required by law.In addition, in the event of a potential or actual merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other similar events, certain information including Personal Data in our possession may be disclosed or transferred to and used by our successor or assigned for the same purposes for which you have provided your consent to us for.Any sharing or disclosure of your Personal Data will be in compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations, including the DPA, the right to access or to correct or file a complaint.By using our Platform and availing of our service, you hereby consent to the sharing of your Personal Data to the foregoing parties for the foregoing purposes.

5. Retention of your Personal DataPersonal Data that we collect and use for any purpose or purposes shall not be retained for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes. Rentr has a variety of obligations to retain the data that you provide us, both to ensure that transactions can be appropriately processed, settled, refunded, or charged back, to identify fraud, and also to comply with laws applicable to us and to our banking providers and credit card processors. Accordingly, even if you close your account we will retain certain information as necessary to meet our obligations, including where such retention is necessary for legal or business purposes. However, we will identify your account in our database as “inactive” or “closed”. By using our Platform and availing of our service, you hereby consent to the retention of your Personal Data in accordance with the preceding procedures.

6. Protection of Personal DataWe take all reasonable steps to ensure that the Personal Data we collect, use, or disclose is accurate, complete, up-to-date, relevant, and stored securely to the extent possible and within our control.We also take all reasonable steps to ensure that the Personal Data we hold is protected from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure by the use of various methods, including access limitation and industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to safeguard the account registration process and sign-up information. Other security safeguards include but are not limited to data encryption, firewalls, and physical access controls to buildings and files.We will provide some or all of our Services from systems outside the Philippines. As such, we are required to disclose to persons that personally identifiable information may be transferred, processed, and stored outside the Philippines.We maintain strict administrative, technical, and physical procedures to protect the information stored on our servers. Access to information is limited (through user/password credentials and software systems) to those employees who require it to perform their job functions.

7. Changes to this PolicyWe reserve the right to make changes to this Policy from time to time. Please review this Policy periodically to check for updates. Your use of the Platform constitutes consent to the Policy in force on the Platform at such time, save that if there are any changes to the Policy and such changes are material and/or retroactive, we may provide additional notice and/or an opportunity to “opt-in,” as appropriate under the circumstances. Access, Correction, and ComplaintsYou can update your account information by signing on to our Platform thru your account.If you have any questions or suggestions about this Privacy Policy or would like to access or seek correction of your Personal Data, or if you have complaints regarding our privacy practices, please contact our Data Privacy Officer by emailing admin@rentr.ph.We may, at our discretion, charge a reasonable fee for your access to personal data. We aim to acknowledge receipt of all complaints within five business days and to resolve all complaints within 30 business days (although this may not be possible in all circumstances, and is dependent on the complexity of the issue). Where we cannot resolve a complaint within 30 business days, we will notify you of the reason for the delay as well as an indication of when we expect to resolve the complaint.

Nature
Rentr serves as a platform allowing lessees of properties to rate and review an apartment, a condominium, or a house used in a leasing business in the Philippines. The Platform provides its user with genuine and helpful feedback from other lessees who previously rented a property.

Access and Acceptance
These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Rentr referred to within this document as "the Company," "Rentr," "us," "we," or "our"), the provider of the Platform, website, and the services accessible through them, collectively referred to as the "Rentr Service" in these Terms & Conditions. By using Rentr, you consent to the terms outlined in these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and all related policies. These terms encompass the entire scope of the application and any communication methods, including emails, as may be made in connection with the Platform's use. We, along with our proprietors, affiliates, partners, agents, and employees, retain the authority to revise and amend the stipulations herein, including pricing, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.


Your use of the Platform signifies your unreserved acceptance of the current and future modified terms. Should you reject these terms or any subsequent alterations, kindly discontinue using the Platform.

Warranties and Representations
By signing up, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age, will abide by all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and keep your password private and not divulge it to anybody. In addition, if you are acting on behalf of another person or entity, you guarantee that you have the proper authority to act on behalf of that person or entity and to bind that person or entity to these terms and conditions.
Since the Platform merely acts as a mode by which previous lessees make reviews of rented properties, we are not the agent of the owner whose properties are posted on the Platform nor represent the renter who posted the review. Accordingly, we will no be held responsible for either the acts or omissions of the renter and or the property owner.

Obligations of UsersPersons who post a review acknowledge that they will use the Platform reasonably and only provide their honest opinions about available properties for lease found on the Platform. The experiences of users should be accurately reflected in user reviews. They are in charge of maintaining the security of their login details and Rentr to any illegal access. Users consent to store their reviews in the Platform’s database by submitting a review. Users understand that the review they will post will indicate their account information. Users' contact information will be collected during the registration process. Users hereby consent to store their review in the Platform's database by submitting a review.

Disclaimer and Limitation on Liability
The Platform functions as an exchange of rental property reviews. However, it does not guarantee user-submitted reviews' accuracy, reliability, or completeness. These reviews reflect the personal opinions of individual users and should not be construed as endorsements or assurances by us.


Specific user perspectives or favorable rental decisions are not assured by us. The Platform disclaims responsibility for the consequences of a user’s reliance on the information presented within the Platform. Users bear sole responsibility for their decisions based on reviews. Consequently, we cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damages, encompassing loss of rental prospects, data, reputation, or utilization, resulting from utilizing the information provided through the Platform.
We exercise discretionary oversight over the Platform and its contents, with no assumed accountability for user-posted reviews. Users acknowledge their complete responsibility for the accuracy, substance, and structure of their submissions on Platform. We explicitly disavow all warranties, including those pertaining to merchantability, non-infringement, and content accuracy. Users are urged to autonomously verify the information within the Platform and to seek professional advice when necessary.


By using the Platform, you hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, including its officers, directors, employees, representatives, predecessors, successors, and assigns, against any claims, actions, demands, injuries, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (inclusive of legal fees and litigation costs on a comprehensive indemnity basis) arising from or linked to your App usage, to the maximum extent allowed by applicable law.

Disclaimers on Viruses, Harmful Programs, and Third-Party Websites
We have no control over the links in the Platform. Thus, we do not assume any obligation from these linked websites. Further, we do not ensure that this Platform or our server is virus-free or free from any harmful program prejudicial to the users.

Termination
Since the Platform operates as a privately-owned business entity, we reserve the prerogative to withhold providing services, adhering to the limitations imposed by pertinent laws and regulations.
In the event that you breach any of the terms and conditions outlined in this policy, or fail to meet your obligations to our reasonable satisfaction, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and forfeit any payments you have made at any time.

Intellectual Property
The Platform and its contents are owned by the Company and are protected by trademark, copyright, tradename, and other intellectual property rights.

Disputes
Philippine law shall govern these terms. The laws of the Philippines shall govern and be followed in the interpretation of any controversy or matter arising out of or related to this agreement. Makati City, Taguig City, or Pasay City shall serve as the Venue. Arbitration pursuant to the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules shall be used to resolve any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or connected to the Terms and Conditions, including its validity, invalidity, breach, or termination. One arbiter will preside over the arbitration, which will take place in the Philippines. English shall be the language of the arbitration proceedings. The other party shall be entitled to remedies in law and equity, as determined by arbitration, in the case of any breach by a party of the Terms and Conditions.
